William Haun
At the age of five my family moved to West Africa where I lived until I was 18. My experiences there shaped my world view and gave me a true love for that region of the world and its people. While in college in East Tennessee I discovered two amazing things: 1) the art of photography – via an old Canon T-70 and 2) love – via a young aspiring doctor whom I married.
In the Fall of 2007, my wife, my 1-year old son, and I lived in a remote area of northern Ghana for 3 months. She volunteered at a Baptist Medical Centre and I was privileged to work on several photo journalism assignments for a mission organization.
After 6 years in Florida where my wife completed medical school, her career led us to Macon, Georgia. She joined MCCG and I joined MGCC. The camera club has helped me make new friends and challenges me to continue to improve my photography skills.
