MGCC: Middle Georgia Camera Club

Judy Fouse

I was born a Floridian, but followed my spouse to his new job in Warner Robins, Ga. Have lived here since 1973. I worked in insurance for 25 years through all levels of auto claims. My last position was Regional Liability Administrator. I retired in 2003 and have enjoyed my hobbies and travelling, and spending time with family including 4 grandkids. I got my bachelors degree in Music Education in 1971. I have enjoyed being in several choirs since then, including Vineville Baptist Church choir and the Choral Society of Middle Georgia. I became a scrapbooker before I became deeply interested in photography.’

I have taken a Professional Photography Course through the New York Institute of Photography. They recommended I join a local camera club. My hairdresser urged me to enter photos in the Cherry Blossom Festival, which I did in 2008, winning several awards from 1st to Hm at the Beginner Level.I attended my first camera club meeting which was a judging of the entries in the Cherry Blossom Festival. I received a bronze medal from the MGCC for my participation and awards in 2008. I served as Treasurer for the club for 2009 and 2010. I am currently the PSA print cycle representative.

I have entered most cycles, both digital and print and enterred prints in the Cherry Blossom Festival and theGa National Fair. I was awarded ribbons for quite a few entries in all of these. I am putting a number of these in my gallery.

I love photographing nature and wildlife, as well as my family. I have also enjoyed photographing achitecture, and really whatever catches my eye.

I encourage you to join the club if you enjoy photography. You won’t regret it.
