MGCC: Middle Georgia Camera Club

Protected: Alan Thiese

MGCC Photographer Alan ThieseI have always enjoyed capturing pictures. During my twenty one year Navy career I did what most Sailors do. I have a collection of 35MM Slides which highlight my time in the Western Pacific. I retired from the U. S. Navy on December 31, 1981 and later obtained employment in a factory. I retired from the factory on September 1, 1999 and quickly joined the Middle Georgia Camera Club. Since then I have also joined the Photographic Society of America where I participate in a General Topic 35 MM Slide Study Group and I also participate in a Digital Photojournalism Study Group. I appreciate the opportunity to learn more about my hobby of Photography.

Be sure to visit Alan’s Blog “The World This Week” and his SmugMug Photo Gallery.

  • These are super Alan! Especially love the portrait of your grandson and flower shots. Nice composition on Little Grand Canyon. B&W works really well.

  • Nice collection Alan. My favorite is the american flag. The colors are so vivid. Like Chris, I also love the Little Grand Canyon shot. Great work!

  • Great job Alan. Where’s the pic of the mirrored building in downtown? I like that one also. Guess you have so many good ones, you can’t put em all up. Keep on keepin on.

  • The first eight images are entered in the Macon, France Photo Salon.

Thanks for the kind comments regarding the images.

Rudy, The Mirrored Building in downtown Macon is included in my Gallery on the PSA Web Site which William of Wildwood has also linked above.
