Social hour will begin at 6:00 PM
and the buffet line starts at 6:30.

You are encouraged to bring a guest, enjoy the digital slide show
and print viewing and meet your new officers for 2012.

The price of the Banquet is $20.00 per person.

Perry earned an Associate of Arts degree from The Art Institute of Atlanta, a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Georgia State University, and a Masters of Fine Arts degree from Savannah College of Art and Design – all in photography. He has achieved much recognition for his work and was most recently awarded Georgia Author of the year for The Last Harvest-Truck Farmers in the Deep South.

First visit the replica blockhouse, photo the interior and interesting artifacts/excavations. Great views of Macon. Closes about 4pm.

Then travel a few hundred yards to the Indian Mounds (aka ONM) and photo the sunset from the Great Temple mound, or boardwalk. Those who wish can stay for the astronomy program, by the Museum of Arts and Sciences, starting at 7pm.

Weather permitting, of course. Wrap up warm and bring a torch. Aka flashlight.
Hot chocolate will be served!! Some may like to go on to the Rookery for supper.

Sunsets have been quite colorful this week so far, but alas, are unpredictable.

Also, anyone who placed with a ribbon at the National Fair last month is welcome to bring their prints to share and discuss their winners.

It should be a fun time! As usual, doors open at 7pm and the meeting starts at 7:30pm.

Currently, this work is on display at the Hardman Fine Arts Building at Mercer University here in Macon. The exhibit will be on display until October 21, 2011.

Camera club members who participate will be admitted to the festival at no charge. Check in at the volunteer booth at the entrance and state the club you are a member of and show your camera gear (after all, you get in free so that you can shoot!).

If you come at 10am on Saturday, Sept 17th you can meet other photographers and Association staff to receive a free meal ticket for day.

This program will be a bit different than normal – it’s an opportunity for everyone to be a part of the program.

What’s In Your Bag?

For a fun evening of sharing, YOU are the program on this Thursday, September 1. Each person will be asked to tell us – What’s your favorite piece of gear or gadget in your bag? Why do you like it? How do you use it? Where can we get one, too? This can be anything from your tripod to a beanbag, your favorite lens or camera body to the lens cleaning cloth.
