Regular Club Meeting
Our guest speaker will be Miriam Langley from "F-Stop", a new photo business on Northside Drive in Macon. Miriam will be telling us about the services available. She has much to offer and will be an asset in the community for the club members and photographers in general. As a follow up to our program "Up Close and Personal With Nature" presented in February by George Bradfield and Gail Stewart, everyone is encouraged to share some of your Nature images at this meeting. You may bring photos (any size) to the meeting or submit digital images to William Haun. William will prepare the images for viewing on the screen. Part of the "fun" in photography is looking at each others images.

Regular Club Meeting - Presentation on Google's Picasa
Our own Binks Solomon will be giving a presentation on using Google's FREE software Picasa 3 to manage, edit, and share your digital photos. You can download the software yourself (again, for FREE) at http://picasa.google.com/ and test it out before the meeting.

We are pleased to have guest speaker, Richard Bernabe with us tonight. Richard is a professional photographer from South Carolina specializing in outdoor images. For Part Three of our pre-competition program, we will present the "blind critiques," inviting attendee comments. After the critiques, three of our experienced members will be available for "mentoring" and will be glad to offer suggestions for any photographs you bring in. Goodies and refreshments will be provided at this meeting.

Blind Critique Deadline
This is the DEADLINE to submit your digital images to Diane Flynn if you would like to participate in the "blind critique". Your photos will be viewed and critiqued by four award-winning photographers without any information identifying who you are. E-mail no more than 10 photos to Diane at this e-mail address. Experienced club members are encouraged to participate.

Regular Club Meeting
For Part Two of our pre-competition program, award-winning photographer Chris Overcash will give us his opinion about what makes a winning photograph and describe how he chooses which photos to submit for competition. Frank Dean will show us how to mount our photos to gator board and will show us some other ways to present our photos for competition. Jerry Beasley will show us how to cut photo mats & backs for presentation with and without framing.

This is our first of three programs to prepare you for the upcoming national photo competition. Award-winning photographer Michael Williams will present a program giving us his opinion as to what makes a competition-worthy photograph. Printer extraordinaire, Jim Messer, will show us two different photographs printed on several different types of paper, allowing us to see the benefits of different photo papers. Our Vice President of Programs, Diane Flynn, will discuss the new competition rules for the national fair. If time allows, she will also show you some award-winning photos from other clubs.
