Club member Kirk Johnson is offering a two part, 8-hour workshop on November 6 & 7 in downtown Macon. Cost is only $15/person. Here’s the press release:

When I was starting out I read a lot of books on photography and although I found some very good ones out there. I still felt like I was missing something. I wish that there would have been someone that would have given a workshop like this to me. Now that I have gained the understanding and have put it to use for a while I want to offer people what I lacked when I was starting out.

If you are beginning to take interest in photography or have the creative eye but have not learned the technicalities of photography, this workshop is for you. This will be a 4 hour outdoor trip where I will teach you all about

• Shutter speed.
• Aperture values
• ISO settings
• Focus Modes
• Metering modes
• Exposure modes
• Exposure compensation
• Basic composition

I am familiar with both Canon and Nikon systems. All other brands are welcome well.

What will you need to bring?

• Your camera
• At least one lens
• Your manual ( if you cannot find yours there are many places to get it online)
• Freshly-charged battery
• Memory card(s)

When is it?

• November 6th 2PM -6PM and November 7th 3pm-7pm

What does it cost?

• The fee is $15 per person. If you are a member of the D.I.P.G or M.G.C.C the fee is $12 per person.

Where is it at?
Our initial meeting place will be at the corner of Mulberry street and Second (Courthouse side) I will have a poster board setup so you will be able to spot the workshop. We will venture through downtown Macon. All locations can be walked or driven to and are within a 1 mile ratios of the starting point
