Last Fall the Middle Georgia Camera Club was asked to participate in a photo exhibit held in Mâcon, France – one of Macon, GA’s sister cities. This week, a delegation of representatives from Mâcon came to participate in the annual Cherry Blossom Festival.

At City Hall on Saturday, March 20th, the French delegation presented our club with a trophy and a certificate thanking us for our participation. Club members Diane Flynn, Diana Sullivan, Alan Thiese, Janice Thiese, and William Haun accepted the award. Glenn Grossman from the Middle Georgia Art Association had also contributed images to the exhibit and was present.

Also present at the reception were 24 visitors from Ulyanovsk, our sister in Russia. The musical group Russian Soul performed several traditional Russian folk songs.
