Just a reminder that our next MGCC meeting is tomorrow, January 21 at 7:30 p.m. The doors will be open by 7 p.m. for any who wish to come and socialize before the meeting.

The plan is to show the third cycle prints and digital images. For those who may be hesitant about entering the digital competitions, William Haun will be sharing information about how to prepare and enter your images. It is my hope that we will have lots of participation this year in the cycle competitions both print and digital.

We will also vote on changing the By-Laws and Constitution. The changes are recommended by the ExectutiveBoard and are merely updates or “housekeeping” items due to no longer having a Cherry Blossom or Georgia State Fair Competition and are as follows:

By-Laws Article III Duties of Officers reads:

Duties of the Second Vice Presidents shall be to serve as Chairman of the Cherry Blossom Festival’s Celebration of Photography and Georgia National Fair.

Change to:

Duties of the Second Vice President shall be to serve as MGCC Volunteer Coordinator for the Georgia National Fair Photography Competition with the Georgia National Fair Photography Chairman.

By-Laws Article III Duties of Officers also reads:

Duties of the Secretary shall be to record the minutes of all meetings, to maintain a current listing of officers, committee chairmen and members, and be responsible for general correspondence of the club.

Change to:

Duties of the Secretary shall be to record the minutes of all regular and Executive Board meetings, to maintain a current listing of officers, committee chairmen and members, and be responsible for general correspondence of the club. (ADD) The Secretary will also serve as Membership Chairman.

Constitution Article V reads:

Officers- The following officers shall be elected by the membership for a term of one calendar year:

1. President
2. First Vice President,
3. Second Vice President Cherry Blossom Festival
4. Second Vice President Georgia State Fair
5. Second Vice President Georgia National Fair
6. Third Vice President
7. Secretary
8. Treasurer

Change to:

Officers- The following officers shall be elected by the membership for a term of one calendar year:

1. President
2. First Vice President
3. Second Vice President Georgia National Fair
4. Third Vice President
5. Secretary
6. Treasurer
